The Ribble Valley festival changes in style for 2012.
Previous years have been host to a wide range of jazz styles from top national and local artists.
2012 gives the opportunity to young budding artists from the local North West circuit who appeared at last year’s Manchester Jazz Festival, last year’s Darwen Jazz and Blues Festival and last years's Beat-Herder in Sawley to showcase their specialist, progressive and new self-penned works, which embraces funky psychedelic modal jazz, bass heavy dub grooves, reggae and blues.

ED KAINYEK QUARTET
Local musician often found buskin' on Deansgate in Manchester, and jam sessions at the Indigo Bar in Withington, Manchester.

LIVING MUSIC ENSEMBLE
Saturday 5th May at 2.30pm - The Grand
Delightful musical score and combined narrative for this popular children's story "The Smartest Giant in Town" performed by local north west artists. Family friendly.

This contemporary jazz quartet has a fierce, modern sound. Their bass-heavy, modal grooves sear through some of the heaviest, darkest and funkiest corners of jazz.

2005 British vocalist of the year, and radio presenter of some note is this year’s headline act on the Sunday, performing some jazz standards, though some other styles of originals and contemporary covers as well as jazz.
