We welcome back two ever-popular north-west jazz musicians.

John Ellis brings his inimitable keyboard/vocal interpretation of popular songs - a purveyor of many styles, in and around jazz, John is a master of mood, whilst Ed Kainyek’s tenor sax has an eloquence and tone that is both expressive and relaxed. Wonderful for a summers evening at the Atrium.

Newcastle's leading jazz vocalist returns to Clitheroe. In this project Zoe focuses on the work of one of her heroines, Carmen McRae, and in particular McRae’s fascination with the music of Thelonius Monk – titles like ‘Blue Monk’ and indeed ‘Pannonica’ will be to the fore. An interesting way of celebrating the work of a seminal figure in jazz history – or even two.

Line-up:  Zoe Gilby (vocals), Paul Edis (keys), Andy Champion (dbl bass), Richard Brown (drums)
