The Eric Ainsworth Trio is a popular band at the Spread Eagle’s Sunday afternoon lunchtime jazz sessions. Eric on keyboard is a local legend with huge following from musicians and audiences. Special guests are always a feature at Eric’s gigs! Eddie ‘Trombone’ Taylor will treat you to husky vocals and cool trombone. Lyn Fairbanks will delight diners with some fine vocals from the American Songbook.

The Limehouse Laundry Boys are regulars at the Spread Eagle and at Ribble Valley Jazz Festival. This West Yorkshire band will bring you classic songs from a golden age of jazz. Come and experience their own versions of many jazz standards, including Night Train. Guest singer, Michaela Smith of Gordon Tetley Big Band, will present some fine vocals.

The Mark Lewis trio is a popular local and experienced band presenting fine music and excellent entertainment at their dinner jazz sessions. Expect to hear top jazz standards from a band influenced by George Shearing, Bill Evans, Horace Silver. This band has played all eight Ribble Valley Jazz Festivals. A lively session is in prospect with plenty of repartee with a cosy audience in the Abbey Suite. The session will be enhanced by Lyn Fairbanks’ delightful vocals!

Shades of Django Quartet leader, Stuart Hampton-Reeves, presented an illustrated performance celebrating the music of the legendary Django Reinhardt at Ribble Valley Jazz Festival in May. So well was it received that the band that specialises in Hot-Club style gypsy jazz has been invited to play some of Django’s memorable tunes at the Spread Eagle. Django’s music fused American Swing, classical music & gypsy music creating a unique sound. Don’t miss this performance.

Ribble Valley Jazz Collective has been presenting a fine portfolio of famous big band tunes to audiences across East Lancashire to splendid applause! The band returns to the Spread Eagle for a Christmas Special which will give you a rousing and entertaining performance, laced with solos, and likely to include renditions of Tuxedo Junction and Mack the Knife. Reserve a table for afternoon dinner and jazz in good time. The band’s performance last Christmas was fully booked.
