Annual General Meeting
A free gig - with an Annual General Meeting thrown in!
The AGM is the regular opportunity for members of Ribble Valley Jazz and Blues and friends to meet in the relaxed atmosphere of the Atrium, not only to celebrate another successful year of great jazz music, but also to have a chat about what the future holds.
This years AGM was held on Wednesday 29th March at the Atrium Café, Clitheroe Castle, and was a very useful and enjoyable event for all concerned. As this is our 10th birthday, there was a special focus on where we go in the future - thanks to all those members who contributed thoughts and ideas for the Board's strategic review. Thanks also to Trish Ferrarin, Ed Lomax and the other ' jazz jammers' who provided musical entertainment and so helped the evening go with a swing, and to James Harper of the Atrium for hosting the event and providing delicious food at half time.
Next year's AGM will be held at around the beginning of April. Put a note in your diaries and watch this space for more details. Hope to see you then!
Election of Directors
Part of the formalities of the AGM is the election of the Board of Directors for the next year. At this year's AGM, all current directors were re-elected to the Board. The members also approved the Annual Report and Accounts for 2015/6.
