The Dixieland/Mainstream jazz band The Pendle Jazzmen are regulars at the Ribble Valley Jazz Festival.  They will be entertaining the Saturday morning crowds outside Maxwells, under the canopy, with familiar tunes to set your feet a-tapping.

NIGHT TRAIN have been doing the business on the local and national blues/rock scene for getting on for 39 years. Now slimmed down to a four piece, and with new guitarist WALLY RUMSEY, bassist HADGE WELLER, drummer ROB PUSEY and fronted by Boltons’ Alec Martin, responsible for Boltons famous ‘Buskers Ball’ open mic sessions which are reported to be one of the very first open mic sessions in the UK. Heavily influenced by the sound of Howling Wolf, Alec takes the old blues sound and mixes it in well with the more psychedelic blues/rock sounds of the late 60’s. Night Train are back....although they never really went away!

Line-up: Peter Riley - bass/vocals, Siena Lloyd - sax/clarinet/vocals, Bex Hughes - piano/vocals

The Gelatos are a high-energy, all-singing jazz trio playing songs from 1940's & 50's with an Italian Twist.   Song mix includes crooning hits such as "How Do You Like Your Eggs in the Morning?" and "Come Fly With Me", plus Italian classics like "Mambo Italiano" and "Volare".   They have a wealth of musical experience.  Peter and Siena are members of The Swing Commanders, the UK's no.1 western swing band.  Sit and listen, or dance the night away, The Gelatos are great for International Jazz Day!
